I'm Nathan, better known as Noddy. I'm a vegeterian, who lives in Hemel Hempstead. I've only been veggie for six months, but I've always been an animal lover. Over the years I've had numerous family pets; a cat, a rabbit (who was much very like the killer rabbit from Holy Grail), and two hamsters. I love elephants, snakes, reptiles, and spiders.

Hello, I'm Jeni and I became a "demi" vegetarian 9 years ago, then stopped eating fish (becomming a full vege) 6 years ago, and, finally, became vegan just over 2 years ago. I have the most adorable pet rabbit Basil, who loves exotic fruit and bread!

Hi I'm Sarah, aka Stepsaz. I'm doing my A-levels and I am good friends with Jeni. I am a vegetarian and have been since 1998. I have thought about going Vegan, but that is not possible right now. I had a golden hampster called Harry (From Harry Kim out of Star Trek Voyager) a few years ago. Basil is cool and there are a lot of cats around my house (Including Domino and Moriate).

It's great to hear about this budding new local forum - thanks Jeni.

My life is currently dedicated to helping people to find eating vegan easier, supporting other active vegans and veggies, and encouraging businesses to cater for us. There are so many great reasons to be vegan, and the only one against seems to be inertia and peer pressure - change is always hard, but once you have changed you will feel normal all over again, but just more fulfilled. Have a dabble!

For more inspiration and info see the ActiVeg website below.

I'm also a mum, a mountain biker and a keen skier - for the vegan snow sports trips I help organise see www.veggiesnow.makessense.co.uk

I have no pets except a hubby and 2 small girls, aged 6 & 3, who are all very cute.

Really great to see veggies and meat eaters on here - your open minds are impressive! Be careful where they lead you  ;)
